Objectives

To perpetuate
fond memory of late Khansaheb Ustad Amir Hussain Khan who was a legendary
maestro of Indian percussion instrument Tabla
-
To propagate
the performing art with a prime thrust upon the Tabla in India and abroad
-
To impart
training in the said performing art to those desirous of learning the art and
also to the budding artists, preferably in the true Indian Gurukul tradition
-
To create and
develop employment potential in the said art for the needy artists
-
To formulate
and implement sponsorship schemes for promoting the education in the art and
science of Tabla for the needy students, by giving them financial help,
providing learning aids, including audio-visual tapes, CDs, Slides, Musical
Instruments, books etc.

To establish
and provide secure place to stay in the form of hostels for students who do not
have a satisfactory and substantial accommodation

To arrange for
the acquisition of the immovable individual or real property of or for the
Trust, its purchase, sale , transfer etc. and /or carry out any transaction,
which may be deemed necessary, or convenient for any of the objects of the Trust

To establish
the Trust’s own Academy of “Tabla”, which could house classrooms, a well
document library of books and other multimedia including CDs, VCDs, DVDs,
slides, an up-to-date Research centre and a state-of-the-art Auditorium with
modern amenities, where public performances, charity shows for a noble public
cause could be organized.

To construct,
maintain and alter any house/houses buildings etc. necessary or convenient for
the better working of the Trust with prior permission of office of the charity
commissioner

To take any
gift of property donation or cash, subject to such terms and conditions as are
not inconsistent with the aims and objects of the Trust
To take such steps by personal or written appeals, public meetings or otherwise,
as may, from time to time, be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring
contributions to the funds of the Trust in the form of donations, annual
subscriptions or otherwise.

To print,
publish, circulate and /or sell any news-papers, notes, periodicals, books,
brochures, leaflets that the Trust deems desirable for the promotion of Tabla
To borrow and /or raise funds in such a manner as the Trust may deem fit, either
with or without security

To invest the
fund of Trust from time to time in conformity with the Bombay Public Trusts Act
and the Income Tax Act 1961, as amended from time to time.

To establish
and/or support and to help in the establishment/support of any other Association
or Trust formed for all or any of the aims & objectives of the Trust
-
To amalgamate
with any Institution, Society or Association, having aims and objectives in
whole, or in part, similar to those of the Trust
-
To do all such
other lawful things as are either primary or incidental and conducive to the
attainment of the aforesaid Aims and Objectives
